Prototype testing in three Scottish universities

During February and March 2025, Ground Truth XR was able to test its prototype solution for the Higher Education sector in three Scottish universities.

Felicity Carlysle-Davies, Teaching Fellow at The University of Strathclyde went on to write a blog about the experience for The Chartered Society of Forensic Science.

Here’s some of what she had to say:

“I can see the potential for its use in assessment as you can provide students with the exact same scene to examine. Further developments are being made to the system as well to expand what the user can do while in the scene and there are a multitude of scenes that could be accessed (it isn’t just fire scenes, this is something that could be used across multiple forensic areas).

Excitingly there may be the possibility to have multiple users in the scene at once which could really enhance the realism of the experience and further allow students to work on their teamwork and communication.
